Cook and Connect can bridge the gap between seniors and youth in the Malton community and promote social interaction between the different age segments of the population. Many of today's youth do not have the basic skill of meal preparation or healthy meal preparation. Seniors who possess this knowledge usually do not have medium to transfer such knowledge to the youth.

Cook and Connect Food Project aims to engage seniors, who live in the ethnic, low-income community of Malton, in activities and workshops that promote healthy eating and cooking. Our goal is to bridge the gap between seniors and youth by empowering senior residents to teach youth the skill of cooking.
